Senior Digital Art Director

The Digital Senior Art Director position at Cannonball requires a strong ability to quickly grasp the tone and visual style of client brand standards and individual campaigns and strategically translate them into digital representations of those campaigns.

We are interested in speaking to candidates that have a strong ability in strategy and managing projects, can give direction to developers, who have a real knack for design and have some development background (to accurately scope work hours for projects that are being led).

Summary of essential job functions
• Strong experience in digital design for advertising
• Ability to take client or senior staff direction and develop an actionable design and development plan
• Must possess communication skills to be able to verbally and visually present concepts and designs to clients
• A strong creative ability to design and create visuals for digital executions with consideration to both user experience, function, and campaign branding with acute attention to detail
• Ability to guide creative process through conception, design and development
• Able to conceive and strategize digital tactics in all aspects of the digital landscape including websites, social media, display media, mobile website & application development and real world digital interactions such as kiosks, projections, or tactile digital interfaces (interactive windows, etc.)
• Able to synthesize feedback and ideas from multiple sources into creative output.
• Able to work collaboratively and effectively with the account team
• A clear understanding of the digital development process (time estimation, development environments, technology limitations/opportunities)
• Comfortable thinking through a digital project's hierarchy and visualizing the hierarchy and flow through flow charts and wireframes
• Must be completely willing to take direction from others and conceive new ways of addressing obstacles.

Minimum requirements
• Strong ability in using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and excellent digital file management /organization skills
• Requires at least 7 years of agency experience with at least 4 of those years working specifically on digital executions

Preferred Abilities
• Ability to develop Flash, HTML and CSS files using best practices a plus
• Experience in directing for video or animation a plus
• Familiarity with developing motion graphics using Adobe After Effects , editing with Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, or 3D program familiarity an extreme plus
• Willingness to put in agency hours, at times above and beyond 40 hours per week to meet client deadlines
