Senior Account Executive / Account Manager

Senior Account Executives at Cannonball manage and mentor direct reports. They lead the team relationship with the client and are pro-active in suggesting and initiating new projects.

Summary of essential job functions
• Draft agendas, conference reports, status reports, proposals, correspondence and other materials
• Research and compile information for projects and presentations
• Manage vendor contacts
• Manage timelines on projects
• Act as a regular mentor to junior account service individuals
• Lead the team relationship with the client
• Initiate and lead projects to successful completion
• Solicit and provide all relevant job information to team members (account, creative and production) in a timely and accurate manner
• Develop or help junior staff develop meaningful briefs and job starts
• Participate in the management of project and client financials
• Prepare billing, estimates, assignment briefs and other materials for client presentation
• Possess fully-developed written and verbal presentation skills
• Be proactive in seeking broader responsibilities
• Demonstrate collaborative style and leadership abilities
• Travel as necessary in support of client needs and projects
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or Marketing
• 4+ years experience in a direct, client service role in advertising and/or promotions
• Demonstration of solid oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information to a client in a clear and concise manner
Preferred Abilities
• Preferably 4+ years agency experience related to advertising and promotions
• Willingness to learn all relevant areas of the business and think outside the parameters of the normal project guidelines.
