Manifest Digital St. Louis is a seeking a Senior Art Director with a unique blend of talent, leadership and creativity. Combined with our Chicago office, we are the largest independent interactive agency based in the Midwest with over 100 team members working with clients around the world. Our services range from strategies in experience design, content development, marketing plans, visual design, website development, interactive applications, mobile, social, and more.

OVERVIEW
The Senior Art Director will have an established portfolio that demonstrates forward thinking and the ability to create user-centered visual designs. This person will have experience leading a design project through every phase (discovery, concepting, client pitch/presentation, design, production, revision). Strong presentation skills are a must. They must be comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with other creative, UX and technology team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Dive deep into the brief/research to gain an understanding of the business problem the project aims to solve and collaborate with the team to produce work that directly supports the desired outcome.
• Concept and design UI of websites/digital applications.
• Combine design theory with a user-centered design process that includes consideration for content, navigational structure, and usability issues to create a powerful and integrated customer experience.
• Manage (external) content and production resources when necessary.
• Be open and on the look-out for new and emerging design techniques and technologies – help educate your clients and keep them thinking in a forward fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts preferred, related degrees considered
• 6+ years of related graphic design/web development/multimedia design/development experience
• Excellent visual/ verbal communicator with a demonstrated strong creative vision for organizing interactive design.
• Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat. Experience with Flash is a must. Experience with Dreamweaver, After Affects, HTML. CSS and /or DVD Studio Pro is a huge plus.
• Extremely detail-oriented, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with aggressive development schedules.
• Experience partnering with UX Designers and ability to design with usability principles in mind
• Proven ability working across teams and capabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Video editing skills a plus, but not required
