Front End Developer

Seeking a front-end web developer responsible for creating HTML and CSS for websites, applications and mobile websites. Successful candidates should have a passion for web development and a strong desire to learn new technologies. The developer will work with strategic and creative members of the agency on a variety of projects including interactive websites and social media applications.

The ideal candidate would have a strong attention to detail and the ability to implement static designs with a high level of pixel precision. Candidate must have a strong design aesthetic and be comfortable with HTML5 animation. Must be self sufficient and comfortable adapting to a rapidly growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with strategists, designers and developers to build out HTML and CSS for websites, microsites, web applications and mobile websites.
- Perform quality assurance tests in various browsers and platforms while documenting results.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, fix bugs and update content on existing projects.
- Integrate HTML and CSS into content management systems like Sitefinity, Umbraco, Wordpress and Joomla.
- Provide input on emerging technologies

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS and Javascript
- Experience with JavaScript libraries like JQuery and Modernizr
- Strong knowledge of JSON, XML and Web Services to integrate dynamic data into the front end.
- Experience working with various public APIs like Facebook and Twitter
- Understanding of current best practices as well as emerging technologies
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles
- Experience coordinating with backend developers
- Comfortable working with raw photoshop files, image optimization and site build out from scratch
- Demonstrate examples of HTML5 animation
- Familiar with HTML5 video and audio
- Ability to shift between multiple projects and technologies quickly

ADDITIONAL:
- Experience working at an agency
- Strong desire to work with the latest technology
- Experience with HTML5 Canvas and SVG
- Experience with hosted source control
