COOLFIRE MEDIA WINS 5 EMMYS, NOMINATED IN 7 CATEGORIES

 

 ST. LOUIS, MO (October 5, 2009) –The Mid-America chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences hosted the 2009 Mid-America Emmy Awards at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in St. Louis with Coolfire Media collecting 5 total EMMYs this year. CFM won for Best PSA, Best Individual Spot (2 EMMYS), Best Audio Composite, and Best Editorial Composite.
 
The PSA was a fully animated spot created for The St. Louis International Film Festival designed and animated by Patrick Vaughan.  Brent Johnson created the sound design for the spot.
 
Best Single Spot winner #1, “Patient Thinking,” a spot for Metro Imaging was produced and edited by CFM for ad agency Geile Leon. David Johnson produced and directed, Mike Kuhn edited and created motion graphics, and Brent Johnson produced the sound design.
 
Best Single Spot winner #2, “Dinoraurus,” a spot for The St. Louis Zoo was produced and edited by CFM for ad agency Advertising Savants. David Johnson produced and directed, Kevin Johnson edited, composited and created motion graphics. Brent Johnson produced the sound design.
 
Individual EMMYs went to audio engineer Brent Johnson for a composite of his work and to editor Kevin Johnson for his editorial composite.

The Mid-America Emmy Awards recognizes excellence in television communications among a variety of categories. The region covers Missouri and parts of Illinois, Arkansas, Louisiana, Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska.
